Possible Push Back to 2009

UFLaccess is reporting that the UFL will now officially launch in 2009 instead of the original date of August 2008. I am going to say this is still a rumor until we see it on the official UFL website, but UFL2008.com is so far behind in news that it wouldn’t surprise me if it doesn’t have updated news yet.

The rumor is that Commissioner Huyghue met with agents on Friday night at the NFL Combine and reported to them that the United Football League will hold the first draft in April of 2009. He apparently also reported that the first kickoff date will be in 2009 also.

    If the league is pushed back until 2009, does anyone have any information about how to tryout for the league?

    Hi slinky,
    I suspect that we will be hearing about tryouts and such at the same time or shortly after the team and coach announcement, which should be by the end of march.
